Founders
Vinni Shah Modani – Founder & Head Counsellor
Aara Consultancy was brought to life by two CAs who started in different organizations in the field of Finance. After gaining practical experience, they understood the dissatisfaction they faced in their jobs. That is when the idea and necessity of choosing the best-suited career paths to excel in life were born. They fathomed the dearth of a good Counsellor required to guide students in an unbiased way.
A dream shared over coffee became life’s focus as now we strive to help others by guiding them with apt career choices so that no student faces a similar job dissatisfaction.
Vinni Shah Modani, the Head Counsellor and Founder, is a CA & CFP by qualification. Having left her dream job at one of the Big 4 CA firms in the world, Ernst and Young (EY), she went on to pursue her passion for guiding students through milestones in their professional careers. A counselor by passion and choice, Vinni believes in the power behind providing unbiased opinions.
Arpan Modani – Founder & CEO
Following the same passion and zeal for transforming and helping young students in their careers, we decided to pursue a venture that would change the way counseling and guidance are looked at.
Arpan Modani, the Founder and CEO, is a CA & CFA (all levels cleared) by qualification. He started his career at Ventura Securities Ltd and after having understood the various intricacies of finance and business by working with top companies, Arpan understood the importance of a lack of genuine consultancies in the education sector. Combining his business acumen with Vinni’s people management skills, they formed Aara Consultancy to help students achieve the best career and education-based solutions.
Our Story
The idea of Aara consultancy came to life when 2 CA professionals were discussing dissatisfaction with jobs faced by them as well as their team members. Started Aara consultancy with the sole motive of guiding students with the most unbiased career advice - Holistic career as well as abroad education counseling! In terms of Abroad counseling as well, we made sure not to have any direct tie-ups with universities, making sure students land into the top universities of the world.
In the first batch of students, we obtained admission from UC Berkeley for Masters in Law (LLM)! Due to great word of mouth, a lot of students in their 10th, and 12th grades as well as graduates turned up for career counseling sessions. We conducted around 4 5-day career counseling workshops wherein we guided students in overall personality, and CV Development along with choosing an apt career for themselves.
Due to strong word of mouth, we started sending students to the top universities of the world including the USA, UK, New Zealand, European Countries, etc and the team started growing from 2 to 5 memberships
Obtained admits from Columbia University, NYU, KTH Sweden, University of South Australia, and other top universities across the globe
Covid struck and Aara went completely online. We never thought that the process could go online. But the COVID period helped us in finding a way and till today, we have successfully made us complete online wherein students don't need to come to the office at all.
Catered to the first batch of students from Nigeria and eventually, we started obtaining inquiries from students in Dubai, Bahrain, USA, Canada, etc.
Touched 1000 Abroad students landmark. Team members grew to 15. Touched 800 career counseling students.
Pathbreaking year of 1 more office at DN Nagar, Andheri. Introduced Zen Abroad consultancy - An affordable counseling company with its first office in Nashik. Hosted our first pre-departure seminar with a great turnout of more than 250 students.
