Accommodation in the USA depends on several factors and is available in numerous ways. Studying and living in the USA independently can seem cumbersome but at Aara Consultancy, we not only provide students with apt guidance but assist them throughout their academic journey.

 There are three options for living in the USA while pursuing your education. They are 

  • On Campus Dormitories
  • Off-Campus Apartments
  • Homestays

On-Campus Dormitories– Schools and universities in America provide on-campus residency to international students. These accommodation facilities are generally situated in the vicinity of the university classroom itself. Once you get admission from the US university, the Admission Department will send you a “Pre-Departure Orientation Packet”, and information regarding your stay is generally included in it. However, it is more suited for undergraduate students in their first year and for those enthusiasts who wish to be a part of the college community and culture. Otherwise, it is a costly option and hence not much recommended.

Off-Campus– Being the most famous option, herein you can also choose to stay in a rented apartment if cost is the constraint. Apartments away from the university cost less and you can even get the liberty to explore the city. You can ask for help from Off-Campus Housing Agents or local brokers in the city. You can search for affordable options through various available FB and WhatsApp groups or your seniors who have already been there. Homestays– Homestays are an appropriate option for students under the age of 18, especially those who are anxious about leaving home and adjusting in a foreign land. In a homestay arrangement, you will be placed with an American family within 20 to 45 minutes from your campus. You will have your room, and meals will be provided. Finding such an option is difficult and limited.

    A comfortable, affordable space of your own where you can relax and study is an essential part of establishing your new life in the UK. As a new student to the University, you have a few accommodation options available to you:

    • Live on campus within the University halls of residence.
    • Live off-campus within the private rental sector.

    On campus, or University accommodation: Living in a university-managed accommodation is a great place to find your feet when you’re first away from your home. Some international students who are deep in their pockets prefer to take up this option but can end up being on the costlier end.

    On-Campus Accommodations: Educational institutions in Canada frequently offer students the option to rent on-campus accommodations owned by the university. The cost of living on campus depends on the university/college, and may be more or less expensive than off-campus options.
