The Tuition Fees and the Living Expenses for Undergraduation are approximately 162900 – 200000 SRK per year.
The Tuition Fees and the Living Expenses for Masters are approximately 162900 – 200000 SRK per year.
There are no fees for a PhD in state-funded universities in Sweden for any student, whether EU, non-EU, or international. The Living Expenses can go up to 36000 – 108000 SRK per year.

As most of the universities provide their course in English, they are required to present them with the English Proficiency test results. The widely accepted tests are IELTS, TOFEL and PTE.
An international student who does not belong to the EU and EEU is allowed to stay back for six months to look out for a job.
A student with any nationality can work during their studies in Sweden without any restriction of hours. Learning the Swedish Language will be a great help if you are working off-campus.
The students have multiple options when it comes to staying in Sweden. The cheapest option is to live in university accommodation, which can be a dormitory or a shared flat. If you choose to live in a dormitory, you will be provided with a personal bedroom and will be sharing the communal areas, such as the kitchen, with 10 to 15 other students. If you plan to stay in a flat, you will be provided with a personal bedroom and will be sharing the accommodation with 3 – 4 other students.
There is one other option which can be a bit expensive, which is private rental. Subletting of apartments or houses is quite common in Sweden.
If you are going to Sweden for your Undergraduate degree, the course duration will be 36 months or three years.
If you plan for your Master’s in Sweden, the course can be 1 – 2 years, depending on your course type.
If you want to pursue your PhD in Sweden, the course will take up to 4 years. This can vary depending on the research field, research projects and your progress.
An international student can apply for a work visa after completion of their studies in Sweden. The work visa can further lead you to granting of permanent residency in Sweden. To get permanent residency in Sweden, you need to fulfil the criteria below:
